Update #3 on New Routine

Wow, do I have some news for you!

(If you haven’t checked out my two previous updates, click here for the first update and here for the second update.)

To start, let’s take a look at my skin… I had great skin pre-Lupus and having troubled skin throughout this healing process has been tough because I know that my skin is not usually like this. BUT LOOK at this transformation though! This is all diet based, I am not taking any acne meds or using any topical medications either. I am literally healing from the inside out.

acne 2 monthsThe reason why day 1 looks so bad is because before that picture, I was already changing my diet and lifestyle and we all know acne gets worse before it gets better. So here is a comparison from day one to day 60. It’s fucking amazing.

It’s funny because you thought that was the good news, but NOPE. There’s more!

I had my appointment with my rheumatologist in New York yesterday (yes I travel all the way from Colorado to New York, that’s how much I like my doctor) and to make a long story short, he was speechless. When I saw him 6 weeks ago, I begged him to give me more time to show him that doing this holistically will give me a better outcome than going back on any of the previous harsh medications I was on before. He agreed to trust me until my next appointment and told me that if there were any bad changes or no changes at all, that I would have to choose another medication to to add in. Well guess fucking what?! My blood work came back and my numbers improved so much that he didn’t even know what to say. The sedimentation rate (which scales inflammation in the body) had went from super bad to normal, showing that I had no inflammation present. After he examined me, he told me he didn’t even feel any swollen joints and could see it in my face and attitude that I was feeling amazing. So I left that appointment with him telling me to keep up what I’m doing and he wouldn’t need to see me for 3 months. 3 MONTHS, I usually see him every 6 weeks but he trusts that I can do this and cure myself so he’s giving me another 3 months to prove it.

This has been a long, long journey since 2015 and a lot of trial and error. But I am beyond thankful to have found what works for me.

To recap a little bit this is what I am taking:

  • Plaquneil (1x daily)
  • 45 fruits and vegetables daily (Ask me how?!)
  • Following a plant based diet
  • 16oz of Celery Juice daily (thanks MedicalMedium)
  • Vegan Vitamin B12 (from Amazon which you can find here)
  • DHA & Astaxanthin Cellular Protection (from Cymbiotika which you can find here)

On top of all of this, I have been going on hikes, my sleeping habits are amazing, my energy is high, and I haven’t felt joint pain since May. I have my first 14er (a hike that takes you to 14,000 ft. elevation) tomorrow, it’s about 7 miles or so and I’m stoked! I have complete confidence in my new body that I will be able to make this hike my bitch. I’ve got this!

This seems crazy, I know, but I am curing myself of Lupus and all illness. I was told I’ll live with it forever but it’s not fucking true. I went from being completely dependent on my boyfriend to finally being completely independent in my activities of daily living. I am living proof that you can overcome this disease. I want to help so many people and I know I will, especially with my story.

If you are interested in learning how to be illness free, please reach out to me. I can coach you and help you in any way that I can. Every diagnoses is different, but I am super confident that I can show you how to heal. Stop limiting your beliefs, you can fucking heal, I promise!

If you want to heal and you’re tired of always being in pain, let me help you. I am here for you. Send me an email at RawThoughtsHealing@gmail.com or you can send me a text at (609) 848-4342.

Until my next update,
peace & love

      1. You are very welcome! Maybe I am a little too much of a worrier, but I really hope strange people do not end up calling you! There are some strange people out there, even on WordPress. I have deleted a few messages because it was someone that made me uncomfortable. I will save your number though and reach out to you soon!!

      1. That makes me so happy to hear you have no idea. There’s such a false belief that you have to live with illness forever but it isn’t true at all. And I’ve learned this and am so lucky to have figured this out so young because now I have the rest of my life to help others. Please please please reach out to me if you’d like me to help you get started with getting your health back❤️
